Juan Carlos is the Executive Director for AQUAS offices in Bogota. He is a senior economic development practitioner with over 20 years of experience in rural development, agribusiness development, social enterprises development, innovation for development and project management; in both public and private sectors. Juan Carlos is also a Consultant at the World Bank Group in Washington DC, working on innovation for development, knowledge sharing, mapping, food security, agriculture, open aid and geospatial analysis. Before joining the World Bank Group, Juan Carlos worked for public and private organizations in Colombia and Germany in the areas of agriculture, rural development, business development and social entrepreneurship.

Juan Carlos holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Universidad Nacional of Colombia and a Master in Business Administration from the Berlin School of Economics in Germany and the London South Bank University.
